Introduction:
This research aims to approach the issue of citizenship as a form of capital. In other words, his goal is to make a critical approach to the subject mentioned above and the liberal concept that supports the development the category of citizenship.
Interest in this issue is that currently in Guatemala, most of the struggles of indigenous social movements, feminists, environmentalists, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), are part of their struggles on the horizon citizenship.
The thesis clearly shows opposition to the idea, but you should clarify that the social struggles whose horizon is citizenship, are essential as a means of human emancipation, but not as an end. In other words it is an effort to establish the limits of emancipation (political) that allows citizens and analyze the obstacles posed for human emancipation.
