EOS EOS Conference and Teacher Training

Lecture by John D. Godino with the title,

One of the main tasks of the teacher of mathematics is the design, implementation and evaluation of their teaching practice with the aim of promoting student learning. It is well known the complexity of this work, if we consider the different aspects involved and the factors that affect teaching and learning of mathematics. In this conference we will present some theoretical knowledge that can help mathematics teachers to reflect on their teaching practice, since it opens up new perspectives research in mathematics education. These notions are based on an theoretical knowledge and teaching mathematics we refer to as "ontosemiotico" , in which, given the size epistemic (interpreted according to an anthropological approach), cognitive (a semiotic approach) and instructional (a socio-constructivist approach) the study of mathematics.
